Essential Computer-Aided Design of Products

This program is intended for individuals with a basic engineering background or those seeking to acquire it and work with computer-aided design (CAD) systems. Participants will explore 3D CAD interface elements, design tools, and settings, and develop skills in sketching, 3D modeling, and preparing manufacturing drawings. The program combines theory with practical exercises using software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. They will learn to create basic and complex parts, assemble them, and manage configurations. Upon completion, participants will be able to apply CAD tools independently in engineering design and prepare technical drawings for manufacturing.

Registration is carried out through the kursuok.lt platform. Funding: the project “Learn for Life!” (No. 10-009-P-0001), financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility plan “NextGenerationLithuania” and the State Budget of the Republic of Lithuania.

In this training you will learn:
  • To understand the 3D CAD interface, tools and settings;
  • To create sketches using geometric relations and dimensions;
  • To model 3D features using extrusion and rotation techniques;
  • To develop complex shapes through path-based and cross-section methods;
  • To apply part editing and geometry modification principles;
  • To assemble components into a functional product;
  • To generate part and assembly configurations and prepare manufacturing drawings.
