Building Information Modeling (BIM)

This program is intended for construction sector professionals—from developers and designers to asset managers and production specialists—who want to learn the fundamentals of Building Information Modeling (BIM). The course introduces the principles of creating and managing digital information about buildings, BIM use cases, relevant standards, workflows, and international practices. Participants will explore digital data exchange (e.g., IFC), application of BIM software, and classification of construction objects using the National Construction Information Classifier (NSIK). The program also covers common data environment (CDE) principles, smart cities, digital twins, and national data management systems. These insights will help professionals plan and manage construction processes more efficiently in the digital environment.

In this training you will learn:
  • to identify and apply key BIM use cases in the construction sector;
  • to understand BIM standards, workflows, roles, and collaboration models;
  • to perform essential data exchanges using IFC format;
  • to classify construction objects using NSIK;
  • to work within a Common Data Environment (CDE);
  • to explore digital twin, smart cities, and public data management tools.
